The project was to design a mark that translates the qualities and facts of a single object into two dimensional form. The design had to be simple and all aspects had to come together so that nothing could be removed with it changing the mark. The main objective of this project is to design a strong, significant visual statement. The project was in two parts; first, the mark had to be hand-drawn with black ink and the second part was to take the mark and transform it digitally. My object was the nozzle. The Definition of nozzle: a cylindrical or round spout at the end of a pipe, hose, or tube, used to control a jet of gas or liquid.
My Approach
My approach was to use the letter “o” and to display a drop of water dripping out of it. My first attempt was just a drop of water dripping out of the letter. But then I decided to take my idea further where the letter “o” completely transformed into something that portrays the shape of a nozzle while the drop of water is dripping.
