As part of our design studio project, we were assigned, as a group, to a client who needed to change and recreate their whole website as it was outdated and did not fulfill its intended purposes. My role in the team was the HTML and CSS designer. As a group, we worked on the logo and the design. We would all meet with the client in order to discuss the required elements to improve and enhance their website.
Our Approach
The clients knew what they wanted and what they didn’t. For the the look and feel of the website, they requested a simple and engaging website with easy navigations. The colour red was the main original colour used by the client and the colour scheme chosen for the website was red and white. Originally, the client did not have a logo, so we advised them to allow us to create one for them to further advertise their business. So as a team, we started sketching and finally produced a heart shaped out of two letter “C”s with a music note in the center. Afterwards, we started wireframing the website according to the clients’ needs. After receiving all the needed decisive feedback from the client, I started coding the website. From there the PHP designer took over and the website was transformed on to WordPress to allow for the client to make any content changes to the website. Social media was very important to the clients because they wanted to introduce themselves in a whole new way and showcase all the talents they have.
